Russia threatens Cyprus. Russia demands right, to decide what Cypriot people should be allowed to do. Russia will not be allowed (by West/NATO/EU) to violate the sovereignty of Cyprus.
US was unable to stop Crimea so what makes Cyprus any different?
In other words, #Russia is threatening Cyprus with a destabilization campaign if they dare to seek closer ties with the US. #MafiaState
Why do you regard such a base as a threat to Russia? There are US bases closer to Russia, already.
Cyprus, probably the only country in the world where the US did not yet have a military base...? 
Cyprus is militarized by NATO. What bugs Russia is the coming trilateral agreement btw, Greece Cyprus and Israel and backed by USA about the gas fields around Cyprus in which Russia has a stake as well
