99% of discourse would be improved if people went on twitter and followed literally anyone who's not one of the top 50 most well known posters in whatever area they're talking about

obviously people are influential for good reason but the magic of this website is that you don't have to only listen to the influential people! get some random fish scientists and afghanistan reporters and literary translators on ur feed it keeps u sane

Have been on an unfollow streak. I think it naturally happens as people over optimize on what made them popular and become vapid. Need regular purges to keep things fresh.

Usually this happens when things become totally unbearable and people flee to a new social network. Quora was pretty nice in the beginning. Twitter is beginning to stagnate.

My main issue with
