      why use my enormous platform & influence to explain to my constituents the real dangers of an invasive & imprecise technology when i could just say some reductive shit like this for critics to dunk on

      this is interesting, maybe 1) attracting dunks and then 2) coming out on top of dunks is more valuable than just being clear and agreeable?

      i think when taking a moral/ethical high ground on a thing that many ppl legitimately do not understand there’s like, no way to make this dynamic work
