It’s tech.. it’s not sentient. Technology can’t be racist. Maybe she means: “Devs haven’t trained facial recognition models on enough diverse people.” And if the model doesn’t work, then it’s not racism, it’s just.. it’s just code.

Yeah I'll go ahead and delete whatever I said if it offended anyone. The politician's tweet is definitely reductive. My response is also definitely reductive (because tech is). The human aspect of course is complex, but this politician has misunderstood tech. She's fanning flames
