if i saw popular discourse turning against a model i believed in, i would maybe ask what are the root causes of that dissatisfaction and how can the model i believe in address those root causes instead of just being like "lol look at this dipshit 14yo"

every technofuturist type posts constantly like "we could cure cancer and have flying cars" but we're at a point where people no longer believe they'd ever get access to cancer cures & flying cars even if we made them it's a dream totally disconnected from today's narrative
