Twitter takes aside, I’d say almost all of the Yang 2020 policy platform would fall under the good side of “techie pro-capitalist” ideas. But people just made fun of “$1000 a month!” and stopped looking there...

Don’t confuse political rhetoric with intention. UBI is a super complex matter, but politicians like Yang have to simplify the message to communicate its merits clearly to everybody. I think it’s unfair to claim he’s an idiot judging on his rhetoric
