everyone spinning in circles trying to come up with blacklist/whitelist alternatives when the obvious correct answer is yeslist/nolist idk why this is so hard

the good thing about allow/deny is that the verbs for adding something to one of the lists is obvious
hmm interesting point but in practice i never see allow() or deny() it’s always like add_to_allowlist() which i think is also correct like adding something to a list is semantically different from actually blocking it or letting it thru
