the fact that there are all these polls going around like allow/deny? pass/block? pass/deny? allow/stop? means there are too many fucking options and ur never gonna remember what each new codebase uses but yes/no? requires 1 brain cell to understand vote yeslist/nolist 2020

the good thing about allow/deny is that the verbs for adding something to one of the lists is obvious

hmm interesting point but in practice i never see allow() or deny() it’s always like add_to_allowlist() which i think is also correct like adding something to a list is semantically different from actually blocking it or letting it thru
