i always kinda considered seattle and vancouver to be pretty similar but the last 3-4 months have totally obliterated that perception. i mean the VPD isn't good, no police are, but still
there's definitely a gradient of whiteness (culturally if not literally but i think literally too) descending from portland to seattle to vancouver that is probably a big part of it
