hard to judge bc idk if this correction is important enough that it’d make it to the top of replies on a normal tweet but probably not a great sign for how misinformation/reply limit dynamics are gonna play out
there’s some tradeoffs with reply limits and amplification that should probably be played with eg personally idgaf abt retweets for most things i’d disable replies on i am also increasingly of the opinion that total reply limits are probably bad but limit to mutuals is good
i just have notifications off for mutuals. don’t see the point of limiting replies you can just ignore them
yeah i only have notifs on for mutuals too but idk if i were good at ignoring shit i probably wouldn't be on twitter lol it's hard to see like "5 replies" on a tweet and not wonder what they are
good for keeping out weirdos but bad for tweets amplifying info that has not been fact-checked yet
yeah i think i had a gut assumption that people would be more wary of retweeting something with replies limited but i think i was wrong still pro keeping out weirdos though so i def don't think it should be scrapped yet just adjusted
