love watching which libertarians are saying fuck cops, which are going full guns out time to defend the compound, and which are coming out as not so secret authoritarians in defense of a macys store or two

There’s also the kind of libertarian that builds or funds defense contractors to sell more surveillance tools and weaponry to the federal government.

A lot of people call themselves libertarians when they just want to eliminate any state oversight so that they can become the local warlord or playground bully, with no-one more powerful to answer to. Libertarianism suffers from this problem of local power maxima.
