not to tread too far into the dumb tech media shit again but it’s interesting to me that after so many years of saying “tech platforms aren’t publishers” the tech line on media is now that they are direct competitors lol

we don’t perform the functions of media when it’s regulatorily inconvenient, we aren’t the arbiters of truth when it’s a burden to us, we do claim credit when it makes us look good though
