I think there’s a difference between not being interested in the same things, and not caring about or being supportive of each others’ interests. I don’t think the former matters *much* (some amount of overlap is def important for bonding), but the latter is critical.

My husband and I don't really share many interest, lol! It is can be a challenge to find things we both like, even choosing a TV show we both want to watch. But the foundation of our relationship was based on the fact that we felt that we could talk to each other about anything!
