One of my tweets got like 23 favs and a major British newspaper thought that was “viral” and that’s the story about how a tweet about my tinder profile made national UK news.
i like when internet culture reporters need to find a tweet to embed in the article so they just pick whatever comes first off the relevant hashtag search and then a tweet with 6 favs ends up in the new york times

I always wonder what happens to those people. Like, does Bernadette in rural Minnesota with 42 followers just get flooded by hundreds of replies from people who read the New York Times? Does she know what's going on? Is she okay
