A few of my profs at UBC still use them for lectures. Not because there isn’t newer tech but they’re just stubborn/old school.

yeah! i asked bc i've had profs use the digital ones w/a camera pointed at paper but you can't wipe/reuse those the way you can w/plastic and tbh lots of ipad handwriting stuff still isn't that great so honestly the overhead holds up pretty well
