i love going to the chinese supermarket and walking out with 1 bag of vegetables and 8 different kinds of instant noodles and frozen breakfast foods just as my ancestors did

i got 8 kinds of vinegar but no food
i adore the difference in buying patterns between the og asian moms who load up on fresh meat & produce & tofu products, the 2nd gen kids who know exactly what they want in the frozen/snack sections, and the white guys in the sauces aisle staring at the recipes on their phones
