just fell into the classic trap of starting an email with "hope you're doing well" and then trying to end the same email with "hope you're doing well"
idk if it's growing up on IMs or what but i email aggressively casually like opening with Hi not Dear i don't fuck with Sincerely or Regards or whatever but this means when it comes to email lube i have a very limited arsenal of "hope you're doing well" and "thanks!"
one thing the french got right although i hate it is they went balls out on forced template formality so instead of doing this formal/casual balance shit u can rly just turn ur brain off and throw in some fuckin "veuillez accepter blah blah mes salutations distinguées blah blah"
every email starts with 'sorry for the late reply' that is the rule
The trick is to say 'thanks for waiting for my reply'
try “hope you’re in a well”
Hit them with a "stay safe" and leave them wondering what exactly they need to stay safe from
I’ve found myself in this situation so many times
Open with “I hope you’re well” and end with “Again, please accept my best wishes for your good health”.
