we being not just the govt but also the private sector i think it’s cool that california’s massive test backlog was primarily due to 2 commercial labs and also that all the hot tech efforts to Move Fast or whatever seem to have come out to jack shit lol

We're working on it. In the past week we've added sites across LA, Long Beach, Atlanta, and Florida as well as expanding capacity at existing sites. More across the country this week and forever in the future until this shit is over.

We're, what, six weeks in to this and the FDA is only in the past couple weeks issuing emergency use authorization for non-nasopharyngeal tests. Working on at-home authorization.
