i am always struck by whenever elon musk has a shitfit on here it gets almost no commentary from ~vc twitter~ until it's stock related and then it's all just stock talk

almost no discussion abt his absurd corona stances, either bc vcs aren't aware that to the general public elon is one of the Faces Of The Industry, or bc they're afraid of pissing him off. either way boring & sad

was pointed out that lots of vcs also agree w elon, which is probably true but they don’t say it. idk just a really boring culture incredibly averse to both criticizing and taking criticism

A few of the well known ones like Elon and Naval seem to be on the same page with corona, but I agree w your take on vc culture here. it’s super infuriating to read knowing the kind of influence they have (and how many people think these are the smartest people in the US????)
