no joke, in 3rd grade my friends were discussing whether or not berkeley was easier to get into than stanford or not and whether piano or violin was better

one girl who had a much older sister said, "stanford is hard to get in but easy to graduate, berkeley is easy to get in but hard to graduate" and i feel like hearing this in 3rd grade explains a whole lot of pathologies

oh yeah i mean i was definitely surrounded by that and it's not like i wasn't also totally On Track. i suppose what i meant was more like u develop a bullshit meter pretty early on (did u get into harvard on grades or on legacy, forbes/BI is obviously just fake, etc)
