ngl most of my friends freshman year did so i got sucked into it since it was like every third conversation. not enough to actually really pursue it but enough to feel like an underachiever for not having similar "ambitions" when i was 19

no joke, in 3rd grade my friends were discussing whether or not berkeley was easier to get into than stanford or not and whether piano or violin was better

one girl who had a much older sister said, "stanford is hard to get in but easy to graduate, berkeley is easy to get in but hard to graduate" and i feel like hearing this in 3rd grade explains a whole lot of pathologies
