yeah i think the cynicism has ups and downs, i probably take some of the good things for granted and i'd see that better if i spent more time elsewhere but also i look at some of the ppl who come in here brand new and like.......are they for real
its why i didnt like Uncanny Valley... i just... like maybe im a deeply broken person but i cant relate to someone that naive anyway i still love the bay and all the ways it has warped my mind. would absolutely do it again
I was definitely naive despite my best friend being the insider. it's about wanting to believe in the dream of silicon valley vs living in reality. that disconnect induced cynicism as silicon valley was my wishful escape from where I had been.
