i never understood the people who moved here and were starry eyed about tech and then felt heartbroken/disillusioned by the industry.. i was always like... tf did you expect lol ????? so yeah im solidly in group 1

yeah i think the cynicism has ups and downs, i probably take some of the good things for granted and i'd see that better if i spent more time elsewhere but also i look at some of the ppl who come in here brand new and like.......are they for real

From the times I've read 30u30 it's always seems to be people who are in the same (online) circles. It definitely feels like some "club" that is inaccessible, especially anyone outside of the area, but this is coming from someone in Australia

It’s always amazed me how many of them became very highly paid miserable people and years later when they don’t have a set of accolades to seek they basically turn into teenagers and do all the boring things everyone else was doing at 15. Like biking just cuz it’s a nice day.
