if i were running a company claiming to be leading the revolution towards a new education system i'd maybe recognize that it's an objectively difficult problem to evaluate anyone's performance under current circumstances instead of dunking on sf sjws or whatever
somewhere deep in the replies he proposes the solution "everyone gets a pass" anyone who's touched the school system in the last decade knows that passes are calculated differently in gpa than letter grades and often a student who would've gotten an A is hurt by receiving a pass
encoding this situation honestly might force them to change that
grading is objectively really really hard. you can break it down to first principles and it's still really fucking hard, and then once you try to scale it it's p much impossible to come up with something that everyone feels is both fair and complete. idk how they'd change it tbh
It's crazy that schools even moved to pass/fail. They should just give everyone a pass, but barring that, give everyone a damn A. I can't imagine how it would feel for a good student to be thrown into this disarray and expected to make it work.
