the most annoying thing about tech-adjacent Education Discourse is that it's always centered around "boo hoo my genius child" and then followed by stats about shitty public schools but zero consideration for how the schools got that way or like, the kids who really depend on it

anyways i am legitimately fascinated by this massive experiment in education methods that an entire generation of kids are being subjected to and i rly hope something good comes out that's not just like, 5 startups for checking ur kid's worksheet progress via eye tracking or w/e

Great schooling is mostly a matter of respecting teachers. Paying administrators more than senior teachers is an excellent way to communicate "We don't respect teachers." Underfunding public schools says both "We don't respect teachers and we don't respect most families."
