i'm actually mostly ok with that sentence i think a big problem rn is "i'm dating" is different from "i'm dating her" is different from "we're dating" the word is meaningless and nobody knows what the fuck is actually going on

the accepted spectrum is "i'm going out on dates" (0-2) -> "i'm seeing someone" (3-5) -> "i'm dating someone" (5-N) -> "someone is my partner/bf/gf/SO", [N = dates to "the talk"] ergo "we went on some dates" -> "we're seeing each other" -> "we're dating" -> we are a couple
