Hardly anyone on twitter is an expert on epidemiology though. I doubt tech guys will be shutting up any time soon given that their early panicking was essentially vindicated.
like you’re correct but i think it’s fucking dumb & so arrogant to not know when to accept you were right and step back and let the actual experts speak

it’s just another extension of the industrywide bullshit where some guy turned out good at one technical thing and thinks it qualifies him to talk about literally anything with numbers involved it’s disgusting

Being good at numbers and scientifically literate literally qualifies people to have some kind of opinion on something like medicine efficacy though. There's nothing disgusting about that. It's the reason why tech people were right while mainstream media put lives at risk.
