There's no wrong way to play it! My daughter basically just plays it as "horse simulator".
greatly enjoying playing the “coward’s edit” of botw (spending 80% of my time avoiding roads and climbing cliffs so the monsters don’t see me)

I occasionally get calls from my daughter while I'm cooking or something of the form "ahhhh daddy help there are so many monsters!"
