in theory the long run times on ml mean you should approach problems with a little more rigor & maybe even some basis in math unfortunately all i know is throw it at the wall and see if it sticks except now i throw at 0.02x speed

pretty sure ML salaries are so high just because python & cuda are so soul-crushing to work with. it's like danger pay.

when i check on a job 8 hours later and turns out it failed bc i synced the wrong git branch midway through and it was just running the wrong code the whole time? that's why they pay me the big bucks
