i really have no idea what it is all i know is there are animals? a town? not sure who is crossing or to where but there's maybe a guy named tom? that's about it

i've always imagined it as a weird game where you are an animal hanging out in a village and living like a human? i have never played animal crossing.

Basically you’re a human in a few different scenarios sometimes you move to a town or camp this one is an island. You buy property, pay off a mortgage, upgrade property, run errands for animals, collect fish bugs and fossils and collect furniture for your home. It’s pretty simple
