i guess my hope is that a decent idea might spread beyond fb i mean, shitty ideas trickle down from highly-visible firms (everyone adopted the dumbness of stack ranking from GE in the 80s/MS in the 90s)... maybe mindless mimicry could actually be good in this instance
like sure but still feels super tone deaf since nobody with a job where "perf" is a consideration is really in danger here
