comparing ml tools to literacy is dumb bc the whole reason ppl misuse ml is a lack of statistical literacy. giving someone ml without stat lit is like putting someone who can’t read in charge of telling everyone else what’s in the library
i totally agree that rn ml is only accessible to people with money & resources. the only real solution is to increase statistical literacy from the bottom up but that’s never gonna be a satisfying answer bc it doesn’t fix the fact that those with resources are already ahead
sadly, a lot of even full blown ds/ml degrees and courses lack anything more than basic stats and maths.
