fb's practice of tying its employees' personal accounts to their work accounts (dogfooding except you can't opt out lol!) is one of the dumbest practices any tech company has ever come up with

they give everyone a work phone to test beta versions of the apps but since employee status is account-level every day i'd get a popup on instagram saying "download the beta version!" on my *personal phone* and the only way to get rid of it was to say "i don't work here anymore"

never forget that until like 2017 when they rolled out workplace all fb internal business was conducted on top of regular fucking facebook so every employee would have all their work updates, manager posts, etc mixed into the same news feed as all their literal actual friends

literally unimaginable also like you're basically required to be on facebook all day at work just like.....scrolling past spring break swimsuit pics scattered among posts for feature requests
