absolutely terrified by the tendency of some of my friends to fluidly make and unmake group chats with constantly changing, slightly different but overlapping subsets of the same 8-9 people it's impossibly chaotic
in practice group chats often work synchronously though! nobody is conducting long async convos the value comes from when everyone jumps in at once, it's like running into your friends in the park except only the people in the chat can go to the park in the first place

Yea the value is definitely there, but like there's always a few people saying stuff before anyone else is awake/off work/whatever

So I guess its time insensitivity is kinda like a bulletin board but designed for responses
