been reading a lot of both formal & informal eng writing recently and noticing that lots of engineers are allergic to commas and oddly unable to distinguish between when to use "which" and when to use "that"

which vs that is super interesting to me i get if english isn't your first language or if you come from eg french where it's all just "que" or i think indian english tends to favor "which", but if you're just another american this seems like something that would be very ingrained

The solution is to use em dashes instead of commas — obviously
