can’t believe andrew yang is gonna become the voice of tech policy in america just because he made sure to say in his campaign he knows how to use computers

You’re right, but those people had years/decades, plus lots of resources backing them, to make noise and build clout. Yet they’re less effective (outcome-wise) at convincing the media & general public their views on tech than a random guy who went on some podcasts

Yang was a nobody a year ago, so I don’t really buy that an already-respected tech figure couldn’t have done the same thing at anytime in the last decade if they really wanted to.

If you could nominate / recommend one person who could guide America’s tech policy over yang, who would it be?
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Yang scored in the top .5 percentile on his SAT at the age of 12. He went to Brown for college and double majored in political science/economics. Law School at Columbia. LSAT score 178/180. All that to say is his IQ is probably at genius level and he probably understands tech...

You don’t really need test scores to understand tech, I think it’s easier to just look at the positions taken. I don’t like Warren’s take on breaking up tech companies, and prefer Yang’s approach that prioritizes fighting health impacts & disinformation.
