Super interesting. I realized recently I don’t have many close friends who are in long relationships. There’s something about ‘merging’ your identity with a partner that makes it less likely for partnered folks to befriend single folks. They’re on another island

Doesn't have to be this way, I think it happens because people expect it to. Merging your identity is a bad habit and its own problem. I figure when people change in long term relationships it's because they wanted that more than their scene. And by scene o mean close friends.
