i have been asked out by girls on a few of occasions but anyway there’s one memory that stuck with me from almost exactly a two years ago. just because the date itself was so weird and I ended up still paying (was reminded of it after running into a mutual acquaintance)

we made pretty normal smallchat but within 3-4 minutes she says “wow, you tech guys are so weird but come in so many flavors” and then follows up with “I have to ask, how do you talk to girls??? Like do you have any female friends?”

It was like I was being interviewed to explain myself and my kind, while being negged the entire time with stereotypes that weren’t even funny or right!!! Meta commentaty on every single one of my responses and my mannerisms too

I really don’t know how to articulate just how bizarre it was. Even if I had the social grace to do exit what was clearly no longer a date, i couldn’t leave

But anyway, I probably was mostly annoyed about it because she asked me out and suggested we go to a pretty pricey place. But then when the bill came she did not put her card down, and so i ended up footing the entire bill. never ben fleeced/owned so hard
