like idk if you feel like you need it at the end of the day go for it but if you don’t then it’s weird as hell to willingly go for an experience where every joke and every beat lands a fraction of a second in advance

hmmm I can hear and understand things but I learned English through reading instead of listening so my comprehension of movies with subtitles on is much better

Helps with accents. Easier to track and quickly see if you kissed something. Used to feel this way but then started turning it on for my wife (Latvian struggles with accents) and it’s actually pretty sweet to have on once you are used to it :)

There are many movies I watched a million times as a kid and thought I knew everything about, but the first time I watched them with subtitles I heard and saw so many tiny moments that I had never noticed before.
