getting bored of the sf thing where ppl’s emotional repression manifests as extreme tightly controlled competence instead of weird creative outbursts or toxic codependency or literally anything else

By SF you mean... tech? There’s a lot of other folks in this city and many of us have plenty of moments of weird creative outbursts and more than enough toxic codependency.

no and i try not to use “sf” as a proxy for “tech” bc i hate when others do that. in this case i think it’s a mix of tech and also being from the bay area there’s a certain culture of achievement that’s related to the large immigrant communities here and that seeps into sf too
