it's not too early, unfortunately, muscle atrophy starts 3-7 days after an immobilization. source: half a year wearing a splint after a knee surgery (not a wish even for people i dislike)

You’re not imagining things. Had ACL reconstruction and meniscus fix a few years ago — I could tell by the next day I was losing muscle.
