slack's search ui is one of the least functional things i've ever used in my life

it's designed around some use case where you find the thing you're looking for on the first try, which never happens! the flow of search a thing => view a result => go back to the same search => view another result is awful and makes me wanna jump out a window every time

while it's not perfect - cmd-g will do the "go back to the same search" step for you. hope that helps

wow i kinda hate that this is the way instead of cmd f (which is how like every text editor deals!) but this does work ty

I get a TON of value out of slack - but yeaaa, that search flow isn’t optimal. I’d love to see them revisit their modal views in general... my personal pet peeve: no way to see an enlarged image and its comments in 1 view
