slack's search ui is one of the least functional things i've ever used in my life
it's designed around some use case where you find the thing you're looking for on the first try, which never happens! the flow of search a thing => view a result => go back to the same search => view another result is awful and makes me wanna jump out a window every time
what was the point of this reply worded in this manner could you like, explain to me? i’m pretty dumb so it’s hard for me to understand some of these things

Totally agree. Especially ironic since Slack stands for Searchable Log of All Communication and Knowledge! They should have called it lack instead.

I find it super counter-intuitive, like why not searching in the channel you're in by default?!
