default-public general-purpose social channels are so chaotic they smash & flatten all normal grouping behavior by sense of humor or personality or anything and eventually they all collapse to the lowest common denominator and die. beautiful to watch

the best is when like 3 uniquely powerful ppl with the ability to instakill a channel all join at the same time and immediately the whole thing dies but those 3 ppl don't realize and blithely continue and u end up with zombie channels everywhere shells of their former selves

my personal fav is when a channel with 200+ ppl is basically the same 3 men talking to each other over and over, makes me wonder why they don't move to group dm and then i realize their visibility is their validation lmao
