I really agree with this! Software felt more personal when you had to stare at a list of people who made it.
that + the one-time install rly combined for a feeling of "we worked hard and made a thing for you" now it's like "hey u don't know who i am but ur gonna eat the shit just flowing continuously out of my ass whether u want to or not"

One of the greatest moments of pride in my professional life was when my name finally got onto the MaxMSP splash screen. It was like adding my name to a list of heroes. Shoutout to Adobe for keeping splash screens alive at least.
