ok i've recently started using markdown more regularly and i know it corresponds to html but headers are all backwards # should be smallest and ### should be biggest

makes way more sense intuitively and also small headers are way more frequent it's so fucked up that i have to type ### like 10 times on a doc

I think this was about html headers in general. You start big and then can only conceive of smaller headers, carving closer and closer to the 0pt bone

yeah that’s bc html sucks ass and headers should’ve been designed in relation to body text size bc that’s the only spatial relation that actually matters

If smallest is #, you'd need to know the nested level of the smallest header before hand when you start writing the doc, so that you can start with #### for example. And if the nesting level changes, good luck trying to change all those headers again 😁

Markdown could just start counting from the number you start with though

This will save your life/fingers. I needed to learn markdown in 1 hour, and was done in 20 minutes.https://github.com/evbacher/gd2md-html/wiki#using-docs-to-markdown …

100% agree, it seems so backwards. It forces the user to waste so much time throwing in syntax instead of writing smh
