ok i've recently started using markdown more regularly and i know it corresponds to html but headers are all backwards # should be smallest and ### should be biggest

I think this was about html headers in general. You start big and then can only conceive of smaller headers, carving closer and closer to the 0pt bone
-
yeah that’s bc html sucks ass and headers should’ve been designed in relation to body text size bc that’s the only spatial relation that actually matters

If smallest is #, you'd need to know the nested level of the smallest header before hand when you start writing the doc, so that you can start with #### for example. And if the nesting level changes, good luck trying to change all those headers again

-
Markdown could just start counting from the number you start with though

This will save your life/fingers. I needed to learn markdown in 1 hour, and was done in 20 minutes.https://github.com/evbacher/gd2md-html/wiki#using-docs-to-markdown …

100% agree, it seems so backwards. It forces the user to waste so much time throwing in syntax instead of writing smh
