in recent years the language of disability has expanded to acknowledge a larger more subtle spectrum of ability and in general this is good but tbh i rly struggle w the way ppl online jump in to say “you made assumptions abt my ability” while....making assumptions abt my ability

idk i don’t love the idea of codifying levels i rly believe that u can just maintain openness & trust that hey maybe if someone says they’re struggling w something they are. but on the flip side there has to be equivalent trust that whoever seems “more abled” has no bad intent

no sequence of words is ever gonna be perfectly inclusive of every human on earth and the tradeoff for (correctly) asking ppl to expand their assumptions is to understand that sometimes ur still just not gonna be what they’re talking about
