uhh what are the new twitter feed algorithms doing i just saw a reply that popped up as "person x (who i don't follow) replied" to person y (who i also don't follow)

I’ve noticed that happens sometimes when I’ve seen tweets from either of the people
i don't think i've seen either of these ppl before! i was ok with the "3 people follow" tweets bc they were pretty good for discovery but i literally don't care about randos replying to randos
