lot of ppl in notes/productivity are going for these rly fancy multimedia spatial designs but i feel like a lot of tools would be hugely improved just by the addition of a second column where u could add stuff spatially pinned to the vertical position of stuff in the first column
basically like if google docs comments were first class citizens i feel like anything from docs to notes apps to jupyter notebooks would benefit a lot from this and most screens are widescreen anyways the single column format is a waste

Or if any of those single screens supported side by side pages / multipages - so much white space
YES! I feel this way about code too, having to write inline comments feels super limiting. Would be super useful if there was some abstract layer on top of code where you could explain and talk about it
