which is a differentiation in compensation and also currently skill/education that i think should lessen a lot in the next decade or so as more people learn to code but in the short term it's vc funded engineers that tend to have the needed expertise

i’m counting those as vc funded. you all forget that vc is not a normal way of starting a business outside of tech. also your average startup eng is still making waaay more than a dev at like a city bureau is making we need to stop pretending startup engineers are poor lmao
